Refractory Coatings

We provide glazing coatings for refractory materials.  We have three grades of materials
that provide for operating temperatures from 1,400º F to 3,600º F.  The dry powder coating
material is mixed with water and applied by brush or spray gun.  When the coating reaches
its glazing temperature, it fuses into the refractory surface forming a glazed, seamless,
impervious coating.  After the glazing temperature has been reached, the coating can be
operated at any temperature below its maximum operating limit.

In addition to reducing heat loss, the refractory coating provides protection of refractory
surface from slag adherence, thermal shock, and chemical attack.

Common uses for our coatings are any type of refractory surface including:

Fire Brick
Insulating brick
Castable
Plastic
